Skiing and Snowboarding Activities: Big White is known for great snow
conditions, calling their snow “Okanagan Champagne Powder”, and is an
attraction for skiers and snowboarders from other countries, including
Australia, the United States and several European countries, especially the
United Kingdom. It is also an attraction from other parts of Canada, including
Ontario, Quebec and Alberta, as well as BC. For Kelowna area residents, the
resort is usually about an hour's drive away, or less. In addition to regular
skiing and boarding activities, Big White has a Terrain Park that is ranked
among the top 5 in the Northwest (and BC). Night skiing and riding is also
offered. In addition to offering skiing and boarding for sliders of all levels it has
also been voted Canada's Best Family Resort by Ski Canada Magazine, so it
is popular with families of all ages.
Other Activities: For visitors who don't want to spend all their time on the
mountain, Big White has lots of other activities for them to enjoy. For the more
adventurous, there is an Ice Climbing Tower, Snowmobile Rides and Dog
Sledding. Other activities include Mini 2 Children's Snowmobiling, Ice Skating
on Canada's highest outdoor rink, Snowshoeing, Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides,
Cross Country Skiing and several Spas. Another attraction is the Big White
Tube Park. It's also possible to get a shuttle into Kelowna to enjoy everything
the Okanagan Valley has to offer, including tasting its world class wines and
taking in a hockey game.
Summer Activities: After the winter activities close, usually in mid-April, there
is usually a two-month hiatus before summer events get into full swing. One of
the big summer activities is lift assisted Mountain Biking. Big White has
several world class mountain bike trails. There is also a Pump Track,
designed to attract everyone from the beginner to the expert. Other summer
activities include Scenic Chairlift Riding, Hiking Trails, GEO-hiking, Walking
with the Wildflowers, Swimming in Rhonda Lake, Wellness Weekend, Apres in
the Village Beer Garden, and more. There are also a few Festivals, including
the Craft Country Beer and Mountain Festival, Ciderfest, the Huckleberry
Festival and the Big Reds at Big White wine event, with more events added
each year.
Dining Options: There are over 20 on-mountain restaurants, cafes, delis, pubs
and nightclubs, so there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy fine dining,
alfresco lunch, latte and cappuccino, a hearty breakfast or many other
choices. There are also venues that sell food and alcohol, if you prefer to
prepare food and eat in your unit, or just want to enjoy an après beer or wine.

240 Vacation Homes and Luxury Chalets. There are approximately 30
Townhouse complexes, with over 460 Townhouse Units and over 30
Apartment Buildings with a total of close to 1600 Apartment Condos.
